Ceremony Featured Wedding Venues
The Australia Issue is all about our wide brown, literally, land. So today we’re updating another of our much-loved lists and diving into the capital city Canberra – for its take on garden wedding venues.
From stunning and private outdoor country garden wedding venues to gardens that are an oasis from the hullabaloo of the suburbs. Gardens with history as old as time forgot and gardens that are modern and kept as passion projects. Here’s our pick for Canberra weddings!

Gorman House Arts Centre offers up a beautiful internal courtyard for weddings. It’s focal point, and a beautiful backdrop for wedding ceremonies is theHawthorn tree, which it’s said, in Celtic mythology is a symbol of love and protection. With that in mind, we’re pretty sure it’s a glorious wedding ceremony spot.
Australian National Botanic Gardens
With eight different garden settings to tie the knot, you’re definitely going to find a spot to love at theAustralian National Botanic Gardens. Brittle Gum Lawn (pictured) is one of my favourites, while the additional seven venues range from a lawn amphitheatre setting at Burbridge Amphitheatre and the dramatic red soil of the Red Earth Centre.
